Privacy Policy

How your data is used, stored, and controlled.

Information you provide

Second Self AI stores the information you give it: identity profile, goals, tasks, people, documents, social content, finance items, wellness entries, family/home data, faith/reflection entries, learning data, travel data, and business data.

How memories work

Memories personalize your experience. You can view, edit, restrict, mark as sensitive, deactivate, or delete any memory at any time from the Trust Center.

How avatar data works

Each specialized avatar only accesses the data you allow. You can change permissions per avatar and per data category.

How connected accounts work

Second Self uses secure connection permissions where available and never asks for your passwords. You can disconnect any account at any time.

How social publishing approval works

Social posts require your explicit approval before they are scheduled or published externally.

How messaging drafts work

Second Self prepares drafts; sending happens only when you explicitly send or mark as sent.

How sensitive data is handled

Sensitive categories (health, finance, family, faith, identity, private documents, business revenue, location) are restricted by default and require approval to share between avatars.

Export & delete

You can export or delete your data at any time from the Trust Center → Export & Delete.

Payments & billing data

Payments are processed by our PCI-compliant payment provider. We never see, touch, or store your card number. We retain only your subscription status, plan, billing interval, and lifecycle event history (trial started, converted, renewed, canceled, payment failed) so we can give you accurate access and notifications. Invoices are retained as required for tax and legal compliance.

Notifications

We send in-app and email notifications for billing lifecycle events (trial start, paid conversion, plan changes, upcoming renewals, failed payments). Transactional emails are required for service operation and cannot be disabled, but you can manage in-app notifications from the bell menu.
